US Flight Patterns
This is a really cool video that mom told Don and I about the other day so I thought you should all check it out. It starts out by showing all US flights as seen by the FAA in one day. "Notice," as mom said, "how it starts on the east coast at about 8 am and then moves west due to the time differences." This is pretty awesome if you ask me... to get a better resolution video adn some other goodies you can check out the source at *this site*

Some fun Tyler pics!
Hey guys...thought I would show you some fun pics of my chunky little man! The first one shows the rolls really well! He also tried out his Hammerheads gear the other day and cheered on his Uncle Migs...already a big fan. He has been a great baby...he just relaxes where ever we are...whether on the couch or cleaning the garage...he loves to hang out in the craziness. Love you all...have fun in North Carolina Mom and Don...wish we could be there too! Talk to you soon.

Just hanging around
This weekend we got a chance to have some of our friends over for the first time in a few months. It was such a blast! The house worked out great. The pool table was a hit, a few of the guys even took the time to level it out (they got tired of playing the break:)
We even got to hang out with Dave and Amy McNay, Chris and Ruby and Dan Franklin. They were all in town for John and Patti's celebration weekend at church.
Just thought we'd fill you in!

Panoramic From Waterloo St.
Hey guys. Most of ya'll (mom excluded) haven't seen my new place yet. I've finally got the living room coming underway. Here's a couple pics of the place!
The view from the staircase. We don't have the private balcony that my neighbors have for this, but Judah and I keep tossing around terms like "hostile takeover". It's nice though because I can drag my folding chair out to the corner and watch the sun go down over the hills. It's beautiful. Also, you can see the Hollywood sign and the Griffith Observatory on the hills there. Hard to photograph.
This is a panoramic of my living room... the only room in the house that's really worth seeing at the moment. I promise it's a trick of the lens that it looks so big. In the corner you'll note two things...
... a rather full collection of records. These have been a whole lot of fun. It's the first thing people like to peruse through when they come into the apt. It's fun to get a feel of what kind of music people like based on what they get excited about in the collection. (and, yes, mom, some of these records are still yours. I promise they're being put to good use! :)
... and this is Lou. He's the plant that hangs out above the records and watches over the place when we're out. His name is a clever play on words that Judah concocted to help us keep him alive... being as we live on a street called "Waterloo".
So there's the first view of the place. Can't wait to have each of you over! Love you guys!

Is THAT the SAME dog???
Just wanted you all to know that mom has NOT turned Maggie into a foo-foo dog. She does like to nap on your lap and rest on you... but she is pretty ferocious. Check out what mom has turned her into... i don't know what she feeds her... dog food laced with pcp AND crack-cocaine? She is an absolute nut! She has no fear at all. Today she went flying along the dock and slipped off into the lake... she swam to a boat lift and got up all on her own. Right after, she went tearing back onto the dock... no fear. Then mom and I took her on the tube (yes behind the boat)!!! she actually was trying to check out the water the whole time she was on. What a great pal she is for mom and dad. Not to mention g-ma, g-pa, and jake! love you all!

The Spectators
Tyler and I just hung out and watched (and dodged flying hooks) as the boys fished. Tyler really enjoyed the mountain air...and being carried around everywhere! He is already a mountain man.

Andrew fishing pics.
Andrew is at the perfect age to start learning things like fishing. He is so interested in really learning...it is fun to watch! He has such a sweet heart too...he wanted to leave his new fishing pole in Mammoth so all the other little kids could use it. It is so fun to watch these boys growing up!

Jeremy Fishing
Hey guys,
After 4 days of being home I am finally able to sit down and share some Mammoth pics with you all. I love these pics of Jeremy fishing. He absolutly loved it...luckily he had no hook because he kept wacking his brothers with his fishing pole! Fishing over all was kind of a disaster...but it is all the boys can talk about...it was definately the start of a tradition for them...they will love fishing with their Dad as they grow!

Connectivity.
Hey Family...
It seems like there are always unexpected difficulties when moving into a new place... Mom and Dad, you've had to paint the place over twice now-- my problems are fortunately a lot less time consuming and expensive, but no less frustrating.
Still trying to get AT&T to connect the internet here. Still the same problem: no dial tone. I've never found another company that has more departments to transfer you to. In the meantime, I'm still stealing the internet from my (lovely) neighbor's unprotected "Apple Network 5fd9a7" wireless. Have an appointment tomorrow. Until then I'm still half stuck in the pre-1990s.
Mom/Dad... you guys are in Wilmington?? Do you get to see another game?

Our Adventure Home
This would be the scorched 395 that kept us from getting home. It just reopened this morning (Monday), so ultimately we made a time-saving decision to go through Vegas. I still can't believe that on 07/07/07... The "luckiest day of the millennium" our road home was shut down and we were re-routed through a state that was shut out of hotel rooms because of a calendar anomaly. Good times.

The Ultimate Weekend
There have been a few times in my life where I have been forced to stop everything and thank God for the family that he's given me. This past week up in Mammoth was one of those times. I had so much fun watching my boys enjoy the mountains, seeing Kristen enjoy time away and seeing Tyler get bigger each day. We have a ton of pics from the week and I'm sure Kristen will post some of them later today, I just wanted to pick out some of the shots that reminded me of how much fun it is to be a dad.
This picture is at Sherwin Creek--A spot quickly emerging as a Larson tradition. It's a short hike to a creek surrounded by lush green trees. There aren't very many people that know about it or use it so we always have it to ourselves. We let the boys throw rocks into the creek for about an hour.
These next 2 pics are on the mountain. One of the coolest things this year, Mammoth made it so you could drive up the mountain on certain "runs". So we turned up the dirt road and drove back past chair 12 over to chair 13 and 14 (my favorite parts of the mountain so it was fun to see it all without snow). Back near chair 13 (background of full fam pic) was a crystal clear lake The boys threw rocks and sticks into the water for about an hour and a half. Again, nobody there, we had the place to ourselves. Great day!

My New Desktop
Hey all.. I spent a chunk of today revamping my desktop etc to get a new and fresh feel. I know it's too dark for you mom... but I love black. Anyway... I have a apple bar down below... widgets (they hide... not out until I click) that tell me the weather/best gas prices/fox news headlines/and even function as itunes sleep and alarm clocks and more, new black theme for my desktop (vista style) and new black theme for firefox browser. Altogether I am quite happy with the result. Let me know what you all think. Love you guys... and as always... I miss you a TON!

mini van on STEROIDS
Mom and I were driving out to Spencer, Ia when we happened upon this mini van which seems to for a vehicle for aggressive soccer moms. (Kristen, you are nearing this age). We had a lovely trip to Spencer through the beautiful fields of corn and beans, a few small towns and gorgeous weather. We have enjoyed our time together, I only wish I did'nt have to go back to work. Love all of you. See you Monday Kristen and Matt and boys.
